We do NOT have ballots yet. We expect to receive ballots the second week of June… The town has received multiple call this morning for absentee ballots please call back the week of June 15th. Sorry for the any confusion this is causing.
The Town of Newry in the best interest of public health and safety the following provisions are in place: The town office will be closed to public traffic as of Monday, March 16th but staff will be working and people are asked to call the Town Office at 824-3123 and we will do our best to provide the services that you require. The Select Board is having an emergency meeting on Monday March 16th at the Newry Town Office at 3PM to discuss further steps the Town will be taking to contain the virus.

Nomination Papers are available on March 9, 2020 at the Newry Town Office for any Newry Resident interested in running for the following offices:
-Selectman/Assessor/Overseer of Poor: 3-year term beginning July 2020
Not less than 10 nor more than 25 signatures of registered Newry voters are required to file nomination papers at the Town Clerk’s Office.
Deadline for completed nomination papers are due back at the Town Office by 5:00pm on Monday, April 6, 2020.
Friendly reminder: The Second Installment of 2020 Real Estate Taxes are due March 31st.

The Primary Election will be held at the Newry Town Office polling hours are 8AM-8PM. Please come by and vote on the parties presidential candidates, as well as the States Special Referendum Ballot on Question 1.

The Town is looking for people interested in becoming a member of the Newry Planning Board ( 2 regular members, and 2 alternate members open). You must be available the first and third Wednesdays of the month for approximately 2 hour meeting. We are willing to train anyone interested in the position. Reminder: The second payment for 2017-18 taxes are due on March 31st. Please reference your original bill for the stub which has the tax amount and due date. If you can not find your original bill feel free to call the Town office for you tax amount.
